CONTEST WINNERS
- First of, we'd like to thank each and everyone for your submissions.
After much deliberation over these great submissions received, there is only one thing I know for sure; "It's been one of the most difficult decisions since the founding of FutureMark Soldiers."
Hours of arguing, great laughs and some tears too, we were able to finally pick an overall winner and 2 runners up, but also unanimously picked a disqualified honorable winner for greatest laugh.

Gee
Receiving a free 'Shattered Horizon game-key' and as a bonus, a 'Futuremark Vantage License key'
Gee wrote:One word Zero-G Combat floating through an asteroid belt covered by squadmates, laying down suppressive fire on an enemy position with cowering opposition, watching as their visors blacken, shatter and hard vacuum begins tearing at their flesh.
To be able to engage in combat only thus far truly depicted in sci-fi novels is why I now thirst after this game.nGAGE wrote:Gee's submission, hitting 60 words exactly and showing great enthusiasm made us feel like playing, rather then deliberating the winner. This is the message I felt to be the most convincing reason for winning this contest.FLSTF93 wrote:Picking a overall winner from the list of great submissions was as difficult and bloody as my first week in the beta. The backroom bloodshed coming to a decision was fun and intense! Gee stood out having so much enthusiasm for the game and put it to words staying inside the word limit, great job Gee!!JoseyWales wrote:I really enjoyed reading through all the submissions and it was hard to decide who to pick. I liked how Gee’s was all about teamwork and on top of that very creative. It stuck with me and that’s what helped me to make my final decision.

MadTom wrote:I'm an Shattered Horizon addict,
that's my (and my wifes) verdict.
SH is something I already own,
getting very often blown.
Why a key for me, you would say?
I would give it away, for more preyFM_Antti wrote:Such altruism deserves praise - and a prize! I'm quite sure that MadTom is more than qualified to pick the right person to get a copy of Shattered Horizon. Also, I'm a sucker for rhyme.fracturedskyline wrote:I need a Shattered Horizon key because if I don't I'll eject myself into space, were I'll suffocate and die, which won't be half as fun as the awesome experience of this game. I'll be floating on thin air or no air, depending on whether I get this or not, so please, send me this brilliance!FM_akitteh wrote:The combination of brazen sycophancy with emotional blackmail warms my cynical heart. This is truly a classic of the genre! Plus, I like puns.

Dubz
Receiving a free 'Shattered Horizon game-key'
Lastly we'd like to award an honorable key to 'Dubz' for the greatest laugh we've had during this contest, even though he exceeded the 60 word limit, it's been a great and unique submission that is worth a mention and was even worth a bonus prize.

I’m a homeless gamer but in my cardboard box I have a sweet rig, oh and I just put up some sweet mods in the home in preparation for shattered horizon I added some deflector wings man and an escape hatch which needs a little tweaking (cut the hole to big now theres a draft). I need the code because every time I leave the fort to get my cans in the morning someone goes and steals my games but since you guy run off steam I will have no issues. See you guys in space ... heres a pic of my pad and the local bullies trying to wreck my homeFM_Kingkatt wrote:He lives in a cardboard rocket, what more can you say. A picture that is worth a thousand words, all of them funny. I lol'd. And after the day I had today, that's just what I needed.nGAGE™ wrote:It took me well over 10minutes to finish reading this particular submission, rolling on the floor, hurtin' bad from laughter. Very nice Dubz and a well deserved honorable prize.FLSTF93 wrote:Not only was Dubz' post humorous it was one of my favorites, it is great we are able to recognize his efforts as well as the runners up with additional game keys, if not for it's length it would have surely been even harder to get a final winner.JoseyWales wrote:You really made me laugh with your post Dubz, now you don't have to worry about those playground bullies any more. Your little rocket ship will be up above 360 meters, well away from them!
